Sports Xtra Saturday Night

What did I tell you about Skyview! The Falcons win their 2nd straight, completing a sweep of Great Falls and CMR on the road! It looks like Toby Hill finally has his Falcons believing they can play with a lot of the Eastern AA teams (no more 3-point quarter letdowns!)...watch out for these guys the rest of the season...they could make a late run.

West still looks unstoppable. They double up Butte on the road, 67-34...and Butte was the number 2 team in the Eastern AA coming in. Stordahl the high scorer...16 off the bench. Bears are still the team to beat.

As for the Lady Bears, they lose their 1st Eastern AA game of the season, losing 54-45 at home to still undefeated Butte. West hung tough in th 1st half, but Butte showed why they are the team to beat in the Girls AA with a dominant 3rd, going up by as many as 20 before cruising home.

Columbus finally beats Laurel in a matchup that was accidentally scheduled for yesterday. The Cougars look very strong in Class B.

As for the wrestlers, congrats to all the kids who qualified for this week's upcoming state tournament at the Metra. Skyview was the big winner in the Eastern AA, sending 28 wrestlers to State. In comparison, Senior and West combined will send 23, so big ups to the Falcons...In the Eastern A, Sidney continued to dominate, winning their seeding tourney...and if I were a betting man, my pick for shoe-in State winner would Huntley project's Seth Snyder...he's looked unstoppable over the past few weeks.

On to tomorrow...the Griz men are on the road at Eastern Washington...you can watch that at 2:00 PM on Altitude...and don't worry, barring OT, it will be over before the Big One in Arizona kicks off.

So here are my Super Bowl Predictions for tomorrow:

Patriots win 34-27 in a very enteraining game that will go down to the last possession. The Giants will get on the board first, and it will be within 3 at the half.

MVP = Tom Brady...absoutely no question about this one...the surest bet out there

The Patriots are the better team, and have come to far to lose. They complete their perfect season, and should be considered the best team in the history of the NFL (Belichick makes a push for greatest coach ever as well...)

We'll see if any of this comes true tomorrow...kickoff slated for 4:17 PM on FOX. Until then...

Later!

-Casey
